Our Mission

In the first quarter of the twenty-first century, the Western World saw a Marxist cultural revolution under the guise of “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI),” COVID lockdowns, demographic displacement through mass migration, taxpayer-funded forever wars and a livestreamed genocide in the Middle East, an abortion genocide, sex trafficking scandals involving elites from all major institutions, economic uncertainty as we deal with the fallout of Keynesian economic policies, supply chain disruptions, the beginnings of the AI apocalypse, a worsening farm crisis, and much much more. People are waking up to the fact that the madness in our society is in fact diabolical warfare, and are seeking refuge from the avalanche of chaos in Holy Orthodoxy. Many of those same converts have also expressed interest in forming intentional communities, living off the land, and homeschooling their children. These are noble endeavors, and we argue they are necessary; but as it turns out, building a Christian society from scratch is no easy task.

The Parish Farmer is a magazine that exists to provide resources for people who are interested in the Orthodox Christian Faith, homesteading, and/or homeschooling. While all three of those grassroots movements have their own media, we set out to create a space where they converge. We’ll also be discussing topics such as agrarian philosophy, history, and economics; as they add layers of context as to how things became the way they are, where they’re likely to go from here, and how we can best navigate the circumstances. The objective for this generation is to shoulder the burden of revolution so that our future grandchildren are able to inherit a society steeped in Faith, where strong families are normative, people are rooted somewhere, and their food isn’t poisonous. The articles, interviews, book reviews, and Bible studies contained within our quarterly magazine and on our Substack newsletter are intended to provide a more holistic approach to understanding and addressing the various crises of today.
